Find your roots within yourself. If you belong to a crowd, there is no further growth. You are dependent on others for company and this gives you anxiety. You seek groups, organizations to give you an identity. It is described as social anxiety and it is discussed intensely. What one is forgetting is how is one connected to oneself.
Osho said that one should forget about the world, society and utopias. Enjoy, delight, be happy, dance and love. Out of one’s love and dancing, out of one’s deep selfishness, an overflowing of energy will start, and one will be able to share with others.
Love is one of the most selfish things. If one wants a still deeper selfish activity, then comes meditation and prayer. If one still wants a more selfish thing, God. Then one cannot be related to God through someone else, there is no via media. One alone in one’s superb aloneness will encounter that supreme experience.
He further said that he taught selfishness, but in order to understand his selfishness, one has to understand all that is beautiful and all that is unselfish. Love for God comes from one being rooted in oneself because the way from oneself moves deep down to his existence.
