527 – Festival of Colors

Holi was yesterday, on the 8th of March. It is an ancient festival of Hinduism and is a very popular celebration. It celebrates the eternal and divine love of Gods Radha and Krishna and also signifies the victory of good over evil as Vishnu destroyed an evil king who tried to kill his son Prahlad because he was a disciple of Vishnu.

Holi also welcomes spring as winter has departed. People splash colored water and powder on each other on this daytime. Special sweets are enjoyed and a sweet and drink made from cannabis is served.

Holi is looked forward to by children and adults. Children because they can be as naughty as they want and adults because they can become like children once again.

We must remember the immortal love story of Radha and Krishna. The story is that Krishna splashed color on his face as he was blue in color. He felt that Radha would not reciprocate his love as she was a milk maid who was very beautiful. The love was mutual, and the origin of Holi is based on this love story, and they played with colors and water.

Play Holi, if it is warm enough or enjoy the reason for the celebration, the power of love and faith.
