A Valentine for Mother Earth

Reflected Awareness Sadhana

We are what our thoughts have made us; so, take care about what you think. Words are secondary. Thoughts live; they travel far. – Swami Vivekananda

It is Valentines’ Day and there are so many expectations about it. The excitement for young persons is about how many valentines and gifts one will get. As we get older, we still have an element of wishful thinking, maybe one’s ego comes into play.

Let us examine what Swami Vivekananda has said. What kind of thoughts are we having. Are they me related? Does one attempt to drown in one’s misery? One’s thoughts can overpower one. Not only today but every single day, let your thoughts be kind and loving to yourself. Then our living thoughts travel to others, and this reflected awareness spreads.

Let us contemplate on love.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. – Corinthians 13

Dear ones, think of love as being unconditional and not unrequited. Love your fellow beings, and love Mother Earth and all its creatures. Practice Reflected Awareness sadhana and you will be blessed with the understanding of love.
