A few days ago a London bound Air India (Flight 1206) plane crashed just leaving the airport. It crashed near a medical facility and some doctors died and some were hurt. All the 290 travelers on the flight died, except for one person. This happened in Ahmedabad in India and the plane was a Dreamliner. I am sharing with you all, because of the irony.
There were a couple, who were getting engaged on the flight. A family of four, a couple who had a job there and many like them. An ex-chief minister of Gujerat died in the crash. His lucky number was 1206 and everything of his had the number. He was going to meet his daughter in London and his wife was already there. He had selected this flight because of the number 1206.
He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds. – Psalm 147:3
This verse speaks to God’s ability to mend broken spirits and offer healing and loss.
The lord is near to the broken hearted and saves the crushed spirit. Reassuring those in pain that they are not alone and that God is close. – Psalm 34:18
Death is certain for one who has been born and rebirth is inevitable for one who has died. Therefore, you should not lament over the inevitable. – Gita 2.27
This verse directly addresses the inevitability of death and encourages acceptance.
Every soul is a circle. The circumference of this circle is nowhere, but its center is in the body. Death means the change of this center from body to body. Why, then, should you be afraid of death. – Swami Sivananda
I will add one more quote with a heavy heart.
Death is not extinguishing the light; it is only putting out the lamp because the dawn has come.
What can we do, chant and pray for those, who have lost loved ones.
