The Shanti Mantra is from the Upanishads. It is a prayer for peace. It’s often recited to bring peace to oneself; one’s family and the world.

Om Dyau Shanti,
May there be peace in the heavens.

Antariksha Shanti,
Peace in the atmosphere.

Prithvi Shanti,
Peace on earth.

Apah Shanti,
In the Waters

Oshadhya Shanti,
In the plants.

Vanaspatayeh Shanti,
In the trees.

Vishwadevah Shanti,
Among all divine beings.

Brahma Shanti,
In the ultimate reality (Brahman),

Sarvam Shanti,
Peace everywhere.

Reva Shant,
May peace prevail in its entirety,

Sa ma Shanti,
and may this peace reach and abide in me.
