If one wants to worship Buddha, the center of worship is the heart. The statues of Buddha are made in such a way that in their presence, the worshipper would feel the resonance and vibrations of compassion within him/her/hir/self.

The next question is how can one worship the statue of Buddha? The purpose of the statue of Buddha is to create compassion within you. The center of compassion is the heart so while worshipping Buddha, one’s awareness is on his heart and in our heart. Then one starts to resonate the beating of one’s heart with Buddha’s heart.

A stage will come, when one will a thread connecting one’s heart to that within the statue. One will not only feel it but will feel the pulsation of the statue’s heart with open eyes. When this happens, you will know that life has been imparted to the statue.
