The Earth is our mother

Mata Bhumi Putro Aham Prithivyah. – Atharva Veda.

The earth is my mother, and I am her child. This is a very intimate relationship, which we cannot forget or ignore. We must protect and care for Mother Earth.

What does Prithvi represent:

It is characterized by solidity and immobility.
Its quality is stability, heaviness, dryness, hardness and tangibility.
It is manifest in humans as loyalty, faith, sense of responsibility and ethics.
Its role in the body as the earth element is to protect the dissolution of ether, the roughness of air, and the heat of fire. It also soothes pain and inflammation in the body.
Its role in the cycle of life and death, earth represents the gestational period inside the womb, where the basic body is formed.

What is the diet to strengthen the Prithvi element (tattva)?

Sweet fruits, cooked vegetables, cooked grain, nuts, natural sweeteners, mild warming spices and warm plant milk products.

Dear ones, what are we doing?

Are we taking and taking from Planet Earth?
Are we plundering her resources?
Are we expressing no gratitude for water, food and shelter?
Are we taking all that is given to us for granted?
Are we ignoring the relationship which exists between us and Prithvi Ma?

Let us look at ourselves, we are not separate from Prithvi Ma. We are composed of everything that she is composed of and we are indebted to her.

Let us ascertain our Universal Mother remains interconnected with us and Nature.
