Absorb the Gita

The message of the Gita is acceptance. Whatever happens, is happening for the good and this encourages acceptance and trust in life’s flow. The Gita also emphasizes the importance of living in the present moment. It says the past is behind, learn from it. The future is ahead, prepare for it.

Bhagwad Gita (5.29) states that one who connects with the Supreme finds peace. Prayer, meditation or even a simple moment of gratitude can fill one’s life with inner joy. All one has to do is to be thankful for the sun rise, sun set, moon rise and the stars in the sky fill one’s heart with appreciation. There are so many things one can be grateful for. Make a list and you will be surprised. Simple sadhanas have a lasting impact, and one gains clarity and purpose.

Gita (2.70) explains how one is connected with the Supreme being. Rivers flow into the sea and the ocean never floods. Therefore, one has to learn to connect with the Deity and become like the ocean. One is unmoved by the sorrows and disturbances in life.
