According to Tulsi Das, there are nine kinds of Bhakti, through which one can attain the grace of God.
- Cultivation of the company of holy men.
- Deep interest in stories about the Lila of the Lord.
- Service with humility, to the feet of the Lord.
- Singing the glory of God spontaneously.
- Repitition on of the Lord’s name and firm faith in him.
- Practice of self-control fostering the spirit of renunciation and craving the virtuous life.
- To regard the whole world as permeated by God and to respect the spirit of renunciation and craving for a virtuous life.
- Contentment with whatever one gets and not finding fault with others.
- Dependence on the Lord, simplicity, freedom from all wiles, no elation and no depression.
God’s grace can be achieved by following any one of these forms of Bhakti.
