938 – Quotes on Beauty

John Keats gave memorable quotes. He was an English poet of the second generation of Romantic poets. He was born in 1795 and he died in 1821. “Here lies one whose name was writ on water”, was etched at Keat’s dying request on his tombstone.

A thing of beauty is a joy forever; its loveliness increases; it will never pass into nothingness.
Beauty is truth, truth beauty that is ye know on earth, and all ye need to know.
Heard melodies are sweeter, but those unheard are sweeter.
The scenery is fine but human nature is finer.
Touch has a memory.
If poetry comes not as naturally as the leaves to a tree it had better not come at all.
