Shraddha or faith is the Bhahmastra of spirituality. The Brahmastra is a supernatural weapon and is considered the most destructive weapon described in Hinduism. It is faith (shraddha) which is our armour and it is considered the ultimate power of spiritual life.
In the Ramcharitmanas, it is said:
Without faith and deep conviction, even great siddhas cannot achieve spiritual attainment. Siddhas are persons, who are accomplished and liberated.
Sri Krishna said in the Bhagwad Gita (12:2):
I consider those to be perfect in Yoga, who fix their mind on me and worship me, ever steadfast and endowed with supreme faith.
Mother Teresa said,
We are called upon not to be successful but to be faithful, in modern times.
Swami Satyananda said that only Shraddha can guide us. With faith comes Bhakti, the only path one can follow and devote time to God. One’s true obligations are not social but spiritual and it is to oneself and to God. Therefore, why misuse the body and waste this incarnation? The two main aspects of worship are repetition of God’s name and helping others. God’s name can be repeated with a mala, either verbally or mentally.
Dear ones, grow your faith and remain in the presence of the divinity.
