975 – Home to home

I am back from Yoga Vidya Bad Meinberg after being away from my home in New Delhi. I have been coming for the last twenty-two years to teach. The first time I came, on my departure, when the sewikas gathered in a circle to sing Om Trayambakam for my safe travel back, I started crying. I felt that I was leaving my mother’s home.

Even now every time I leave, I have this tightness in my heart and an overwhelming sense of sadness. I analyzed the reasons and came to the conclusion that Yoga Vidya is a sacred space and the energy vibrations are very high. The surrounding forests act as an enormous glade and the sky is like an ether umbrella. People are going from one different seminar room to another. Chants can be heard resonating. There is a mild fragrance of incense and quite a lot of yellow, orange and white clad figures roaming about on their work.

One of the sewikas described her time in Yoga Vidya as time with no anxieties. Everything was taken care of, and one was learning all the time. There was a strong sense of an ever-increasing supportive family and being part of it meant a lot to many of us. I myself feel so joyous that there is a place like this, in these troubled times and everyone is welcome to visit.

Now we will have two Ganapati temples, one is inside Chakra Pyramid and the other one is also a Ganapati temple, outside House Shanti, built by two Stapitas (temple architects). Home to home.

I can only say that whoever comes to Yoga Vidya, may come as a guest but leaves as a family member. Pets are welcome.
