Aakash, Heaven, Aum

All these following quotes evoke the sky. When we see the sky, we become aware of the space, which is all encompassing.

A slash of Blue

A slash of blue
A sweep of gray.

I must go down to the sea again

I must go down to the sea again
To the lonely sea and sky.

My lover asks me

My lover asks me
‘What is the difference between me and the sky?’

At the twilight

At the twilight, a moon appeared in the sky;
Then it landed on earth to look at me.

Summer stars

Bend low again, night of summer stars,
So near you are, sky of summer stars.

Haiku of Love

What Romantic rain falls
Sky leans on the earth to give
Mouthwatering kiss.

What is the Aakash tattva?

Aakash tattva is the sky (space or ether) element. The Aakash tattva is one of the five elements of prakriti (nature). Earth, water, fire and air fill the space left by the Aakash tattva. The essence of Aakash tattva is in the other four elements.

The absence of earth and water makes ether light in weight, the absence of fire makes it cold, the absence of the air’s fluidity and mobility makes it immovable. Aakash tattva represents the vastness and vacuum of space. It is subtle and it is present in every one and everywhere.

The sky is described by Tagore,

But there, where spreads the infinite sky for the soul to take her flight in, reigns the stainless white radiance. There is no day nor night, nor form nor color and never, never a word.

Please close your eyes, dear ones and meditate on the Aakash tattva. It is the creation of the supreme, with no limits and is the basis of spirituality. Everything exists within the space and space exists in everything. Chant Aum continuously.
