198 – Innocence

We all strive for innocence. What does innocence mean? Innocence means purity, guiltlessness, and incorruptibility. Our Gurus preach that we must restore our innocence. We can only accomplish this by not being led by our mind and listening to our heart and sinless soul.

“Innocence is like polished armour; it adorns and defends.” Robert South.

“Every act of rebellion expresses a nostalgia for innocence and an appeal to the essence of being.” Albert Camus.

“There is an innocence in admiration; it is found in those to whom it has never yet occurred that they too, might be admired someday”. Friedrich Nietzsche.

“Through our own recovered innocence, we discern the innocence of our neighbours.” Henry David Thoreau.

“The greater our innocence, the greater our strength and the swifter our victory.” Mahatma Gandhi.

How do we accomplish restoration of our lost innocence? The simplest way is love, serve and give. If we can make it our goal, we are on the path. We will become non-judgemental and connect with our heart and soul.
