My question has been answered and I will share the answer with you dear ones. In our scriptures, the Gods always pray to the Cosmic Mother, who is Maha Devi. I have always believed and venerated the Cosmic Mother as the creator.

Now the doubts came as Brahma is the Creator, Vishnu is the Preserver and Shiva the Destroyer. Where does Mother feature in this. When I was coming to Bad Meinberg, I was reading Devi Bhagwatam, which is the equivalent of The Gita for the Shakta’s. I have it on my Kindle. Incidentally Kindle is a wonderful invention as one can have many books on it and it is no weight. Also, once one has a Kindle, then one has access to many free books like the Scriptures of different religions. Also, one can access complete sets at almost no cost.

Coming back to my joy, Brahma questions Vishnu about his powers and as to why Devi had to be acknowledged as the Supreme Power. The discussion ended with Devi being addressed As Maha Shakti and the source of Sattva, Rajas and Tamas. Without Shakti, there would be no universe. And this is Vishnu’s plain speak, the absolute truth.
