Listen to the whispering of your blood

I have been and still am a seeker, but I have ceased to question stars and books; I have begun to listen to the teaching my blood whispers to me. – Hermann Hesse

Dear ones, many of us have read Hesse and seen paintings by the artists like Kandinsky. They were all contemplative and thinking people. They were aware of the subtle breath, Prana and the Kundalini. They were questioning and also reading books about Hindu practices.

When I saw this quote, I immediately thought of Samvrita Pranayama. Samvrita Pranayama works on the balance of prana, which works on our cellular memories. So really listening to the teaching of the blood whispers means become aware of your breath. It is your pranic breath which purifies your blood.

What is the practice of Samvrit Pranayama?

  • Inhalation to the count of 5
  • Pause to the count of 5
  • Exhale to the count of 5-10
  • Pause to the count of 5.

What happens here?

When you inhale, the oxygenated blood with prana goes to the brain, when you pause the digestion of your mental, physical and emotional thoughts take place. In this pause the physical digestion also happens. When you exhale then your negative and unhealthy thoughts are eliminated and also your communication system and senses are activated. It is a complex explanation; I do not wish to go into the detail but you can read my book to understand or maybe come for a seminar.

The Samvrit Pranayama has now been adopted by all schools of medicine and meditation. One of its numerous effects is on disenabling the sympathetic system and enabling the parasympathetic system take over.
