223 – Maitri – Friendship

Awareness is the mantra for maitri. Be sensitive of your feelings towards others when you engage with them. Have you built a wall round yourself or are you open?

What emotions are you radiating towards others and yourself? Hostility, indifference, or caring.

Do you want to change it? Then break the wall, you have built around yourself. Be open and receptive. Be appreciative of others and yourself. Connect with others and yourself.

Resolve to practice maitri every day and review your day daily. Reciprocate kindness and love. It is so easy to practice maitri but we are chained by our past experiences. By practicing awareness and detachment, we can become friends with ourselves and others.
