These are the energies of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. Shakti Sadhana is worship of the omnipotent Dash(ten) Maha Vidyas which are divided into two categories of Kali Kula and Sri Kula. The word Maha Vidyas means ten manifest forms of Shakti. Maha Vidya means great knowledge and it is said to hold the ten secrets of the universe. It also holds the secret of the ten omnipotent functional energies of Supreme God to run the universe.

By meditation upon the Dash Maha Vidyas and mastering their mantras by devout and intense sadhana, one is able to realise the most subtle functional secrets of the universe and if needed be use them for the common good. The Maha Vidyas are the highest energies, they are required for mighty purposes and depend upon the nature of one and each is in itself the door to Moksha.
