Many of us are afraid of being alone. If you pause and think, are you really alone? No, because we are in the presence of Divinity and the presence of God is everywhere. It is our thoughts always which play on our feelings and emotions.
They are comfortable residents in our mind. They chitter chatter and their infernal racket makes us feel isolated. Awakening our awareness and connecting with our heart we will never be alone. This means that we do not have a continuous conversation with our thoughts. We ignore them. They cease to bother us. Then we can quieten our mind and have a spiritual space within us which connects with our inner divinity.
Rumi’s poetry describes loneliness not as an emptiness, but as a spiritual opportunity for inner expansion and divine connection. His words invite one to look inward, transforming isolation int a deep sense of peace and self-exploration.
Do not feel lonely, the entire universe is inside you. Stop acting so small. You are the universe in ecstatic motion.
The cosmos resides in us with all its creativity and light, and it lives in our spirit.
There is a loneliness more precious than life. There is freedom more precious than the world. Infinitely more precious life and the world is at that moment when one is alone with God.
There is no aloneness. One’s loneliness is sacred because it gifts one spiritual clarity, freedom and liberation.
