The route to contentment

Happiness according to the Bhagwad Gita is not just a fleeting emotion or a result of external factors, but a state of being that arises from spiritual connection, inner peace, contentment and living a life aligned with one’s true purpose.

How do we perceive pleasure?

Pleasure is a subjective and rewarding feeling. It can be physical, emotional or mental. The sources of pleasure are subjective.

What is happiness?

Happiness is a broader and more future-oriented emotional state.

What is contentment?

To cultivate contentment, we must develop the art of gratitude, live in the present, be non-judgmental, empathetic and compassionate. Our mind must become disciplined, calm and steady. We remain in a state of equanimity.

By becoming Karma Yogis, we can travel on the road to fulfillment.
