Dear ones, what is the objective of sadhana?
One cannot learn it. Sadhana involves concentration, and cultivation of fundamental virtues like truthfulness, selfless love, self-restraint etc. This enables one to travel on the spiritual path.
Steps to take
- Concentration means making the mind one pointed. How can one achieve this? Small steps like breath awareness. Breath awareness leads to quietening the chatter of one’s thoughts.
- Cultivation of basic virtues like truthfulness, selfless love, and self-restraint. How does one enable oneself to acquire these virtues? Remember what one was taught by one’s parents and teachers. Always speak the truth. Selfless love means to be kind to all and practice atmabhava. Self-restraint means awareness of one’s desires, greed and temperament and learning to curb these traits.
- Follow the mantra, ‘Love, serve and give,’ and you will become a sadhaka.
