308 – Instant Emancipation from Distress

While I was teaching this thought came to my mind, that we want everything quickly. There is no patience left in us. When I have to look for a word or information, I go to Google and I find it.

I remember when I was a child, I would look up the encyclopedias and the wealth of information that there was in them, was amazing. I would get entrapped in some other word and I would have to shake myself out of it. Like so when I give a seminar, most students want the results soon. The concept of due diligence and sadhana is not such a great idea.

Well, I contemplated on it and I came up with a quick way of distress management. It is very effective and it controls the butterflies in the stomach and the monkey thoughts in the mind. All you have to do is to visualize your breath going in and out through the left nostril, count it backwards 27 times, then visualize the breath going in and out through the right nostril, count it backwards 27 times, and then visualize the breath going in and out of both nostrils, in a triangle, and count it, backwards 54 times.

It is incredible what this little sadhana does for you. You feel centered and relaxed. You are emancipated from your distress. It takes no time and can be done any time and in any place. The name of this jewel is anuloma viloma.
