Swami Sivananda said that one should treat time with the same jealous parsimony as a vigilant person, who would treat his gold watch set with diamonds. One’s response would be,

Alas, I have lost one golden hour set with sixty diamonds.

Cerberus was a multi-headed dog, who guarded the gates of the underworld (Hades). He prevented the dead from leaving.
