The color code in Fengshui and Hinduism

In Fengshui there are four colors which are regarded as powerful. They attract wealth and abundance, and they are purple, deep blues, gold and dark greens.

Purple is associated with spirituality and one’s interior life. It is also associated with material possessions. It is believed that if we feel complete, we will send that energy out into the world and riches will begin to find their way to us.

Deep blue represents the element of water and abundance and the movement of the seas.

Gold helps to manifest good luck and attracts money.

Dark green represents stability, serenity and fertility.

Does this mean that if we decorate our homes with these colors, we will attract untold wealth and good fortune? How is this possible, if we remain self-involved and self-centered?

Colors in Hinduism

The same colors in Hinduism have a different understanding.

Purple is associated with spirituality and divine energy. How does one advance on this path? It is only possible if one is a karma yogi, practices self-reflection and atmabhava.

Deep blue symbolizes the vastness of the cosmos, the infinite nature of the divine and a profound and spiritual depth.

Gold represents the perfection of all matter on any level, including that of the mind, spirit and soul.

Dark green represents a new beginning as well as the harvest and happiness.

Dear ones it appears to me that one would have to work with oneself first. Develop self-awareness, atmabhava and be a karma yogi. It would then be possible for one to appreciate the abundance around one, without desiring it. The colors surround us in nature, and we do not have to have them in their visual presence. The Chakras are awakened with our prana flowing through the Sushumna nadi and internally we have all the radiant colors. Our chakras influence us and lead us to our divine connection.
