I desire you
More than food
And drink.
My body
My senses
My mind
Hunger for your taste
I can sense your presence
In my heart.
Although you belong
To all the world
I wait with silent passion
For one gesture
One glance
From you.
Whom do we desire, who are we seeking? Continue reading

Examine yourself if you are serious and unsmiling. Why are you like that? Observe a child playing a game and shouting, or just laughing. You can do the same. Stop trying to understand everything around you. Look at the magic, a spider’s web with dew drops in it. Sunlight going through them, and you can see a rainbow. Continue reading

Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and right doing there is a field. I’ll meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass the world is too full to talk about. – Rumi
A poem.
Do not grieve over past joys,
be sure they will reappear in another form.
A child’s joy is in milk and nursing,
but once weaned, it finds new joy in bread and honey.
Joy appears in many different forms
It moves from place to place.
It may suddenly show in the falling rain.
Or in the rose bed; it comes now as water,
Now as beauty, or as nourishing bread.
But suddenly it may show its face
From behind the veil and destroy all idols
That prevent you from seeking the divine.
In sleep when the soul leaves the body
You may dream of yourself as a tall cypress
Or as a beautiful rose, but be
Warned my friend,
All these phantoms dissolve into thin air
Once the soul returns to the body.
Do not rely on anything but your heart.

And bid 2022 farewell.
Visualize all your thoughts, feelings, doubts and fears hanging on a clothesline. Let them become bleached and pure. There is no burden on you. You have ceased to be a donkey with such an overload. Your mind is like a field with bright sunshine and you have aired all these emotions, reactions and sentiments. Continue reading
